Terrain Data Viewer
Generate terrain elevation data anywhere on Earth in four modes: a point to point great circle profile with optional corridor clearance heatmap, a coverage grid centred on a point with user set radius (0.1 to 100 km) and pitch (down to 1 m, bilinear interpolated below source native resolution), a pie slice sector grid for sector antennas (apex, azimuth, beamwidth, range, draggable boresight handle, apex drag anchors tip in geographic space), or a point to multipoint sample pass that emits one P2P style elevation profile per apex to subscriber link. Eight DEM sources are available: Mapbox Terrain-RGB (global ~30 m), Copernicus GLO-30 DSM (~30 m global), Copernicus GLO-90 DSM (~90 m global), SRTM 1 inch (~30 m, plus or minus 60 degrees latitude), SRTM 3 inch (~90 m, plus or minus 60 degrees latitude), ALOS World 3D 1 inch DSM (~30 m), NASADEM 1 inch (~30 m), and Geoscience Australia 1 inch DEM (Australia only). Multi source merging unlocks Min, Max, Mean, Median, and Spread strategies for worst case obstruction or uncertainty visualisation, and ticking a DTM and a DSM source side by side computes clutter above ground level (DSM minus DTM) per cell automatically. Multi project save and load with a picker page, per project autosave with live saved indicator, drag and drop on every map pin (endpoints, apex, centre, per subscriber), sticky placement mode for rapid PMP subscriber drops, circle clipped coverage heatmap on screen, and a sign off grade PDF report with cover, contents, project information, mode specific landscape figure pages, Mapbox satellite + heatmap overlays for Coverage and Sector, one landscape page per PMP subscriber profile, and a closing glossary and standards table that mirrors the design system of the HF link planner report. Exports include CSV, JSON, GeoJSON, KML, GeoTIFF, high resolution profile PNG, sign off grade PDF report, and .tdv.json project files for direct hand off to Link Planner, Path Loss, Fresnel, P.530, and external GIS tools (QGIS, Pathloss).
